I have worked in the voluntary sector for 30 years, starting my career with a BAME women’s organisation as a community development worker. I currently work as the Partnership and Development Manager for Rotherham United Community Sports Trust. I am the director of the Yorkshire and Humber Visual Arts Network and sit on their research working group. I was awarded a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Literacy and Language by the University of Sheffield in 2022. I have been a community researcher with the University of Sheffield, exploring ways in which artistic methodologies can support community-led research with a focus on underrepresented groups in research. I have written for academic journals and contributed to book chapters around co-production. I am also the vice chair of a primary school I once attended.
