You are warmly invited to attend the Primary Headteachers’ Meeting taking place on Friday 5th June from 8:30am – 12:15pm. The meeting will provide key updates from the Local Authority, opportunities to hear from colleagues, and valuable input from external partners to support school improvement. Following the welcome and introductions from Tina Hohn (Interim Head of Education & Strategic Lead for School Improvement), Niall Devlin will provide Local Authority updates. The RoSIS traded offer overview will be shared followed by an introduction to Kitts Medical by Ian Tankard, Executive Head at Coleridge and East Dene Primary Schools on their work 'Supporting pupils with medical conditions and allergies'. We'll then hear from David Silvester, CEO at JMAT and Vanessa Lambert, Head at Brampton Cortonwood on their recent Ofsted experiences followed by an introduction to support available from Tinsley Meadows Academy for EAL children in primary schools. Cary-Anne Sykes, Head of Service for SEND will give a Rotherham Local Authority SEND update and we'll then hear from Cheryl Gaughan, Regional Whole School SEND Lead with a national update. Liz Kenny from Whiston Worrygoose English Hub will share opportunities available from September followed by Catherine Moore, Learn Sheffield and Alex Wirth, Headteacher at Anston Greenlands Primary School who will share details about the Computing & Digital Innovation Centre package and support for schools with AI. This meeting is an opportunity to stay informed on current developments, share experiences, and engage with colleagues across the primary sector, we hope to see many of you there.
