Service Description

In partnership with colleagues at RWM Doncaster, the Oracy Hub network was established in 2024 to connect schools and colleagues who were keen to share best practice and support each other's drive to make oracy a central component of the curriculum. High-quality oracy provision enables pupils to articulate their thinking, deepen understanding and engage critically with new knowledge. Through structured talk, pupils develop vocabulary, reasoning and comprehension, which directly supports outcomes in reading, writing, maths and all areas of learning. Oracy is therefore integral to our ambition for high standards of attainment and is important not only for learning but also for life. Participation enables teachers to: * Improve teaching quality and pedagogy * Strengthen curriculum implementation * Raise attainment and close gaps * Learn from collaboration and best practice * Support behaviour, inclusion and classroom culture * Align with Ofsted priorities Attendance at the Oracy Hub Network meeting is included for those subscribing to the Core Offer to RoSIS. For others a fee of £50 per person, per network, is payable.
