Service Description

This course will support school governors and academy trustees to better understand the Ofsted inspection framework for schools, the evaluation areas that Ofsted inspects, including how it assesses the effectiveness of governance, and the key areas that Ofsted may ask governors/trustees in relation to the range of evaluation areas. The course will also explore the different gradings Ofsted use to judge each evaluation area and the impact on the school/governing board of receiving these judgements. This session will also be repeated on Monday 19th April 2027, online from 17:30 - 19:00. Cost: this training is included at no extra cost for governors and trustees whose schools are subscribed to the RoSIS Core Offer or those purchasing the Governance Package. For non-subscribing settings, the cost is £75 per person per session.
