Service Description

Aughton Junior Academy have recently received an IQM Inclusive School Award. Their Self‑Evaluation Report for 2025–26 paints a compelling picture of a school where inclusion, ambition and community sit at the heart of everything it does. The report showcases a highly inclusive culture, strong leadership and deeply personalised provision that ensures every child is known, valued and supported to succeed. From innovative curriculum design and inspiring enrichment experiences to exceptional relationships with families and the wider community, Aughton demonstrates how equity and excellence can go hand in hand. The academy’s commitment to reflective practice, professional development and collaboration makes it an exciting place to work with and learn from, with the report concluding that the school fully meets the Inclusion Quality Mark standard and is well placed to move towards Centre of Excellence status. The report showcases passionate inclusive education, partnership working and making a genuine difference for children and families. Colleagues at Aughton have offered Best Practice Visits to share their work which will take place on: * Monday 12th October from 9:00 – 12:00 * Tuesday 20th October from 9:00 – 12:00 * Wednesday, 18th November from 9:00 – 12:00 * Thursday, 26th November from 9:00 – 12:00
