Aughton Early Years Centre look forward to welcoming you to their highly regarded and well-established Local Authority Maintained Nursery School offering 100 places for 0-4 year olds both term-time and full year. Their bespoke curriculum is broad, rich, play-based, and spans 4 key elements: * Curriculum Calendar - they will share their unique calendar that maps core learning experiences progressively through 6 half-terms, inspired by seasonal change, sensory experiences, cultural differences within our community and beyond, and embeds the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes for all children to meet the demands of future learning. * Curricular Goals - you will gain knowledge of how milestones have been carefully set by all staff that are representative of the many different things they feel children have the opportunity to achieve whilst learning at their Centre. * Forest School - you will observe how children are encouraged to explore their extensive garden in all weather, take appropriate risks, and learn skills using tools and firecraft to develop resilience and an understanding of personal safety * Stories, Songs and Rhymes - you will learn how high-quality stories, songs and rhymes punctuate every day to support children’s language and communication and enhance mathematical concepts and skills.
