This training will explore the new DfE Writing Framework, focusing on how the appendices/suggestions from the framework can be actioned in the classroom. In particular, the course will explore: * Developing a series of lessons using a rich text as a model for writing * How the framework enables teachers to support struggling writers * The relationship between the framework and the Ofsted Toolkit * Implementing the framework in foundation stage * Using the activities included in the appendices in different year groups. * How leaders can successfully implement the framework and monitor the impact of writing developments. Audience: The course is aimed at teachers, writing leads and school leaders. Although it is not essential to have attended the previous Strategic Leadership of Writing course, the material in these sessions build on previous content and will not repeat it. There are two sessions, delegates are expected to attend both in full. Session 1 | Monday, 27th April from 09:00-16:00 - lunch is provided and Session 2 | Thursday, 30th April from 13:00-16:00.
