Facilitated by Sue Gregg, Meadow View Primary and Lizzy Battersby, Rawmarsh Nursery School This session will focus on what high-quality physical development looks like from Nursery through to the end of F2. We will look at key child development milestones and how essential these are for brain-body connection and future success in PE as children move through KS1 and KS2. We will explore together: 1) How physical development begins in the early years and how it plays an important role as a Prime Area of Learning in the EYFS. 2) Purposeful and enabling environments, both indoors and outdoors, and how they develop the fundamental and vital physical skills. 3) What a high-quality, physical development curriculum looks like.
