Service Description

Music Subject Leader Meetings provide a valuable space for primary educators to collaborate, share ideas, and strengthen their leadership in delivering high-quality music education. Music plays a vital role in children's development—enhancing creativity, building confidence, supporting emotional wellbeing, and fostering teamwork and self-expression. These meetings offer practical support, curriculum updates, and inspiring examples of how music can be embedded across the school. By attending, teachers can connect with colleagues, explore new resources, and ensure that music continues to enrich the lives of every child. Facilitated by Kathryn Hathaway and Becky Stroud from Rotherham & Sheffield Music Hubs, these sessions will take place as follows: Autumn - Focus to be confirmed This session will take place online on Thursday, 16th October from 16:00 - 17:30 Spring - As part of the RoSIS Early Years Festival, music subject leaders are invited to attend a session at Rockingham PDC on Wednesday, 17th March. This practical session will focus on equipping subject leaders to recognise their subject in action within the early years, within the many different forms it will take. Lunch and networking will be available for those able to join the first session. Wednesday, 17th March at Rockingham PDC from 12:30 - 13:45 and repeated on Wednesday, 17th March at Rockingham PDC from 14:00 - 15:15 Summer – Focus to be confirmed This session will take place online on Thursday, 18th June from 16:00 - 17:30 Cost: Schools and settings accessing the Core Offer to RoSIS have unlimited access to the subject leader networks. Non-subscribing schools and settings can choose to purchase this package separately at £2,040 per school or individually at £510 per subject area, per school.
