HLTA North will provide a course that enables TAs or HLTAs to prepare to be assessed against the national HLTA standards, leading to the award of HLTA status. The delivery of the programme will be over three days, at Rockingham Professional Development Centre and will include self-directed study and online support. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. Maxine Pountney, an experienced tutor and Senior Assessor, with HLTA North, will lead the sessions, providing support and advice to candidates throughout the process. Costs: a course fee of £850, which includes the Assessment Fee*, applies. Subsidy for schools who are fully subscribing to RoSIS will be confirmed. * Assessments are arranged by HLTA North on behalf the awarding body, HNAP, the HLTA National Assessment Partnership. The assessment fee, £500, is agreed nationally. Dates: the course will take place at Rockingham Professional Development Centre from 9:15 – 15:15 on: Thursday 24th September; Thursday 15th October; and Thursday 19th November. Assessments portfolios will need to be submitted by Thursday 17th December (tbc) and the assessment window will be from Friday 18th December – Friday 29th January 2027 (tbc).
