Design & Technology Subject Leader Meetings are a fantastic opportunity for primary educators to come together, share ideas, and strengthen their leadership in this dynamic and creative subject. These events, hosted by a John Jefferies, a D&T consultant with extensive experience, are designed to meet the needs and expectations of both newly appointed and experienced D&T subject leaders. Each event will have a proposed focus however the events will also include: * updates on professional development opportunities * current initiatives * collaborative time to network with colleagues to enable the sharing of hints, tips and recommended resources. They will take place from 16:00 - 17:30 as follows: Autumn – Reviewing the role of the D&T subject lead; unpacking the National Curriculum including the six interrelated principles Monday, 17th November at Rockingham PDC. Tuesday, 18th November at Albion House. Spring – D&T design process progression: including practical 2D and 3D CAD opportunities (3D printers) Monday, 16th March at Albion House. Tuesday, 17th March at Rockingham PDC. Summer – Effectively assessing design technology; including adaptive teaching opportunities Monday, 29th June at Albion House. Tuesday, 30th June at Rockingham PDC. Cost: Schools and settings accessing the Core Offer to RoSIS or subscribing to Learn Sheffield have unlimited access to the subject leader networks, including access to all resources via Forge CPD. Non-subscribing schools and settings can choose to purchase this package separately at £2,040 per school or individually at £510 per subject area, per school.
