Service Description

Facilitated by Sue Gregg, Meadow View Primary and Lucy March, Early Years Service There are two sessions to choose from: session 1 (9:00 - 10:45) or session 2 (10:45 - 12:30). The session will focus on the Communication & Language area of learning and the vital role it plays across all learning. We will look at how it supports early reading, early writing, vocabulary development and phonic skills. **The session may also interest SEND practitioners** We will explore together: 1) The important role high quality interactions make in children’s holistic early development 2) What does a high-quality interaction look like in the EYFS including an introduction to the ShREC approach 3) Training and professional development that is available to all via the Tiny Talkers pathway 4) The development of phonological awareness skills and the fundamental role they play in early literacy.
