Amy has worked in school improvement for many years, having been both a lead English and mathematics teacher in her previous ‘school life’.

Starting out as a National Literacy Strategy consultant, she has continued to work with local schools and neighbouring local authorities to support the teaching and learning of English through network meetings, continuing professional development, bespoke in-school work and evaluation of provision.

As Rotherham’s statutory assessment lead and moderation manager, Amy has a particular interest in supporting Y2 and 6 colleagues in making accurate and robust assessments. This has led to her working with other LAs and Trusts across the region and for the STA as an external moderator.

Amy absolutely loves her role within RoSIS and considers it a privilege to work with so many amazing professionals within Rotherham and beyond!
