RoSIS, on behalf of RMBC & in partnership with Learn Sheffield, is pleased to offer a range of CPD opportunities to support the Statutory Assessment package. Attendance at these sessions is included in the Statutory Assessment Formal Agreement fee, including all RMBC LA maintained schools. New to Y6, session 1 - Testing Arrangements & Administration. Wednesday, 27th September online from 15:45 - 17:15. This online session provides an introduction to the Y6 statutory assessment process, including testing, teacher assessment & the pre-key stage standards. New to Y6, session 2 - EXS Writing (there are two dates for this session & delegates are welcome to choose the most convenient). Tuesday, 10th October from 13:30 - 15:30 at Rockingham Professional Development Centre, Roughwood Road, Rotherham, S61 4HY or Friday, 20th October from 13:30 - 15:30 at Albion House, Savile Street, Sheffield, S4 7UD. Using STA materials, this session will provide information & guidance around the assessment & moderation of EXS writing at the end of KS2. It is also recommended that delegates book onto the New to Y6 additional EXS writing session (2b) & the GDS writing session (4). New to Y6, session 2B - Additional Writing. Monday, 4th December from 13:30 - 15:45 at Rockingham Professional Development Centre, Roughwood Road, Rotherham, S61 4HY. Using the 2023 STA moderator training materials, this additional writing assessment session will further explore the key differences between WTS & EXS writing & to unpick the statement around cohesion. This session is also suitable for experienced Y6 teachers who missed the STA writing training held in March 2023. New to Y6, session 3 - Maths. Thursday, 16th November online from 15:45 - 17:15. This online session will provide support information & guidance to support preparation for the KS2 mathematics papers. New to Y6, session 4 - GDS Writing (there are two dates for this session & delegates are welcome to choose the most convenient). Wednesday, 10th January from 13:30 - 15:30 at Albion House, Savile Street, Sheffield, S4 7UD or Wednesday, 17th January from 13:30 - 15:30 at Rockingham Professional Development Centre, Roughwood Road, Rotherham, S61 4HY. Using STA materials, this session will provide information & guidance around the assessment & moderation of GDS writing at the end of KS2. It is recommended that delegates have already attended the New to Y6 EXS writing session (2) & the additional EXS writing session (2b).
