LEARN provides bespoke CPD and school support through a wide range of specialist SEND and mainstream colleagues, some of which is SEND-specific.
LEARN SEND Hub: Leading Professional Development for Inclusive, High-Quality Education
LEARN SEND Hub is the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) arm of CIT, dedicated to supporting schools in achieving excellence through expertly tailored CPD, school-to-school support, and strategic SEND guidance. Our portfolio of programs, developed with the support of DfE-funded projects, spans local, regional, and national levels. While much of our focus is on SEND, our overarching mission remains to ensure every child has access to high-quality education.
Our Services and Expertise
LEARN SEND Hub offers bespoke professional development opportunities to strengthen educational practices across all school settings. Our team commissions support from expert consultants, all connected within a robust network of SEND specialists and partner organisations. As a Regional Lead for Whole School SEND, our Director ensures we stay at the forefront of SEND advancements and best practices. We work closely with Local Authorities and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) within the East Midlands, South Yorkshire, and the Humber (EMSYH) region to provide comprehensive SEND development and training packages, audit provision, manage Workforce Development Online Training platforms, and deliver bespoke support and training.
Comprehensive School Support and Strategic Guidance
LEARN collaborates with regional DfE Directors to provide schools with strategic planning, auditing, and tailored training and support packages to enhance their SEND provision. As the inclusion partner for Teaching School Hubs, we deliver SEND training and offer school-to-school support to strengthen inclusive practices across the region. Our expertise spans developing policies and strategic plans to delivering nationally recognised development programs, including:
Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
Early Careers Teaching (ECT) / Appropriate Body Partner (AB)
National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), including the new NPQ for SENCos, in partnership with Teach First
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Networks
Specialised Leadership Support
With expertise in SEND leadership, LEARN SEND Hub is uniquely positioned to support MATs, school leaders, and SENCOs in embedding inclusion into whole-school practice, ultimately enhancing outcomes for all pupils. We work closely with schools to identify specific development areas, build effective systems, and provide tailored SEND leadership mentoring.
