Service Description

This workshop is primarily aimed at teachers working with children in the bottom 20% for writing in Key Stages 1 & 2. The good practice examples provided will benefit all pupils and, over time, should improve writing outcomes through school. The workshop has been devised and delivered by Sarah Hubbard from Learn Sheffield. Sarah was previously HMI. During her time at Ofsted, she was the Subject Lead for English, working within Ofsted’s Curriculum Unit. In this capacity she worked on the English Research Review, which is part of Ofsted’s Research Review Series. The key aims of the session are to provide an overview of the writing curriculum including pedagogy; and to share ways to scaffold composition, transcription, handwriting, spelling and grammar for children with SEND. Cost: £95 per person, no additional charge for those accessing the Core Offer to RoSIS.
