Maths Subject Leaders (Primary)

Service Description

Our Subject Leader Network meetings are offered twice each term, once in Rotherham at Rockingham Professional Development Centre and in Sheffield at Albion House, Saville Street. The network meetings are an opportunity to hear latest national and regional updates in relation to specific subject areas; to showcase and share best practice in schools across the region; and to offer subject leaders time to come together and support each other with the leadership responsibility for their curriculum area. Facilitated by Catherine Salvadori from RoSIS & Wisewood Primary School, these sessions will take place from 13:30 - 15:30 on: Autumn - this session will feature Gareth Metcalfe (I See Reasoning) who will be sharing his new resources and exciting new CPD opportunities, and there will be a speaker from White Rose Maths. • Thursday, 10th October at Rockingham PDC, Rotherham. • Thursday, 24th October at Albion House, Sheffield. Spring - this session will include speakers from the Maths Association, and Jamie Owen (Maths Leader of Learning, and Maths Specialist from Halfway Junior School). He will be presenting on ‘What is Mastery?’ and the benefit for all pupils. • Thursday, 13th February at Rockingham PDC, Rotherham. • Thursday, 27th February at Albion House, Sheffield. Summer – the networks sessions in the summer term will be replaced with a full day Maths Conference. The speakers are to be confirmed, please save the provisional date of Thursday, 19th June at Rockingham Professional Development Centre in your diary. Cost: Schools and settings accessing the Core Offer to RoSIS have unlimited access to the subject leader networks and Maths Conference. Non-subscribing schools and settings can choose to purchase this package separately at £2,000 per school or individually at £500 per subject area, per school. Places at the Conference day can be purchased at £95 per person by non-subscribing schools and settings.
