Rationale: We are all looking for ways to build motivation and investment in our classrooms. The Botheredness Teacher Development Programme will offer colleagues ways of refreshing and re-examining their own professional practice whilst giving opportunity to explore tried-and-tested approaches that promote oracy, story, creativity, ethical citizenship, relevance, optimism, awe and wonder. It’s a programme to keep us all bothered. Who is it for? • Classroom Teachers hoping to enhance their pedagogical toolkit, their creativity, their management of exciting classrooms, and their desire that their practice will change children’s lives. • School Leaders who wish to drive excellent classroom teaching and learning through their schools. When is it? Session One - Making Learning Matter Tuesday 11th March from 9:00 - 15:30 at RPDC Session Two - Botheredness in Action: Model Teaching Thursday 13th March from 9:00 - 12:15 - location to be confirmed Session Three - Knowledge, Story, and Practical Pedagogy Monday 9th June from 16:00 - 18:00 at RPDC Session Four - Knowledge Exchange and Celebration Tuesday 8th July from 9:00 - 15:30 at RPDC Cost: Schools subscribing to RoSIS have one place on the programme included in their subscription fee, additional places are available at £40 per delegate. For others a charge of £130 per delegate applies.
